We are conducting research on the changes in the mussel communities in portions of the Minnesota River Watershed. We have chosen 3 subwatersheds to examine based on the annual sediment load in the subwatersheds – high (Le Sueur), medium (Cottonwood) and low (Chippewa) loads. We are comparing changes in these subwatersheds to a reference site in the St. Croix Watershed (the Snake River – click here for data from that watershed).
